Hear Her Story

Built in 1916 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, it is a 2-8-0 "Consolidation" type that once served the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad. Known for its distinctive whistle and powerful presence, WMSR 734 attracts railfans and tourists and has served as an icon of Cumberland, Maryland since her arrival in 1992.
